From VIDDA, we want to offer a unique experience. Because of that, all our jewels are exclusively designed and handcrafted in Spain for and by the brand. Inspired by women, life, nature, art and shapes. Each piece is a new universe to discover and a new opportunity to create essence and personality.
With eight collections launched every year, VIDDA is positioned in the prêt-à-porter market, focusing on the concept of less is more, creating each piece of jewelry individually.
The design process begins in our atelier in Bilbao, where the first sketches of each of the pieces that will make up the jewelry in the different collections are created. Links, beads, calabrotes… each shape is strictly studied so that the final result is everything we want to see on the skin of the people who trust in VIDDA.
The manufacture of our jewelry follows an entirely manual process, where every detail is taken care of to the millimeter.
After capturing our ideas on paper, the digital design team uses computer programs to transfer the sketches to a 3D format. It allows us to see if changes need to be made until the final design is achieved.
To materialize the piece, its different parts are printed in resin using a 3D printer. Then, the mother mold of the design, made from the negative of the prototype, is created on rubber and can be replicated as many times as necessary.
This mold is filled with a nickel-free metal alloy and left to dry in order to extract the jewel, which is then polished by hand to correct imperfections.
With the raw pieces already filed, the polishing process begins, which is divided into two phases. The first one, before plating, is carried out on a rotating drum. After that, the piece is bathed in 24 karat gold or sterling silver, depending on the design. Finally, the second pase of polishing takes place, in this case by hand.
Finally, in the pieces that require it, Swarovsky crystals are handplaced, thus completing the design.
Once finished, all our jewelry is subjected to an exhaustive visual and tactile control, as well as to a test of use and resistence to external agents.
